Bob Bidonde Drawings
Bob Bidonde has given us permission to post his drawings on the Santa Anita A’s web site.
From Tom Endy:
Attached are his drawings, there are 33 of them. The first 18 pertain to the Victoria. The rest are general Model A.
The last drawing (B33) should be of interest to the Zenith Gurus in the club. There are three different versions of the secondary well in a Zenith carburetor because of different casting configurations, however the suppliers only sell one version. What I do when rebuilding a Zenith is to install the secondary well and slip the point of a marking pen through the port in the reservoir and mark the well. Then if a recess does not line up with the port I clamp it in my drill press and with a file I make one.
Note drawings B11 and B12: No Model A supplier carries these front window bumpers for the Victoria and the A-400. However the V-8 Ford suppliers do because they were carried over for later cars (1932-1935). There is a V8 supplier down near San Diego that has them. They were 25 cents each, I bought a quantity of them a number of years ago and passed them out to my Victoria friends.
Rubber glass bumpers:
The 1932–1935 part numbers:
The bumper that fits into the garnish molding is part number B-46044. (stock number B-7021444) The bumper that fits into the doorframe is part number B-45380. (stock number B-7021452) Each has a slightly different shape from the other. Both bumpers are described in detail and shown in sketch form in the Victoria book in the Bob Bidonde section on page B11. C&G Early Ford Parts in Escondido, CA 760-740-2400 carries them under the stock number.
